The West Coast District Health Board has received notice from the Association of Professionals and Executive Employees (APEX) that radiographers are withdrawing their labour from 7.00am on Tuesday 7 September until 7.00am Wednesday 8 September.

This action affects services at Grey Base Hospital and Buller Health. Patients requiring medical imaging (X ray, ultrasound or CT scans) during this time may have fractures stabilised and be sent home or to a ward before having their imaging performed after 7.00 am on Wednesday.

The only imaging available during this time is for "Life Preserving Services" which are strictly defined.
