The first organic toddler milk to be developed and launched in New Zealand will help meet growing consumer demand for natural organic products that supports the health of families.

Nutritional manufacturing company, Bluebell, is launching an organic cow’s milk formula and a goat milk formula into supermarkets in July.

Bluebell Organic is manufactured with organic dairy ingredients and prebiotics which help to support a child’s digestion, nutrition and growth.

Nutritionist and wellness expert, Jess Blair, says being a parent is a tough job and the pressure to make the best choices for your children can make it even harder.

"When it comes to feeding your children, nutritional value and the ingredients in foods are important things to consider. With Organic products, you are assured they don’t contain synthetic or artificial ingredients, so you can feel comfortable they are good for you and your family."

Mrs Blair says toddlers need all the energy they can get to support their busy little lives and the food they eat needs to support this growth and development and boost their immune system.

"Bluebell’s toddler milk blending process ensures all the ingredients are kept intact and maintained to the highest nutritional level, so your toddler is getting the best quality vitamins and minerals they need."

Warren Hignett, Commercial General Manager at Bluebell, says all parents want the best for their children and Bluebell developed its organic formula with that in mind.

"We’re very excited to be able to offer Kiwi families a toddler milk that is organic and made here in New Zealand. We want them to be confident they are giving their little ones the best nutrition they can."

Mr Hignett says Bluebell source organic milk powder, naturally derived dairy ingredients, and prebiotics, such as GOS and FOS which supports digestion and natural immunity, to ensure the premium quality of the formula.

Bluebell Organic, which is certified by AsureQuality, also contains DHA and ARA, naturally occurring polyunsaturated fats that support healthy brain development.

Mr Hignett says there is a growing demand for organic products which is highlighted by last year’s New Zealand Organic Market Report. The report showed eight out of 10 Kiwi consumers made the decision to buy organic products on a fortnightly basis at least. More than two thirds of those surveyed said they were doing it to look after their family’s health.

"The report shows the growing trend among Kiwis to purchase organic products to benefit their family’s health and wellbeing which is why we’re seeing a number of companies including Bluebell develop organic products for consumers," says Hignett.

"We believe Bluebell will prove popular among parents wanting to give their children the best choice of organic toddler milk."
