Beetling takes off

‘Beetleing’ - the act of forming the shape of Volkswagen’s iconic Beetle - is taking off across the country.

Kiwis are striking a pose everywhere from beaches and baches to the Beehive in a bid to win themselves the latest Volkswagen Beetle. Even the New Zealand All Whites are getting into Beetleing with Tony Lochead, Jeremy Brockie and Ben Sigmund posing as a Beetle during a training session earlier this week.

The promotion, which launched this week on Volkswagen’s Facebook page, asks people to upload a photo of themselves Beetleing to win a Beetle. The competition that runs for 4 weeks has already generated a huge number of entries. The winner of the $46,500 Beetle will be drawn randomly on 20th February 2013.
