Rob Swan, polar explorer, environmental leader, and the first man to have walked to both the North and the South Poles, will select a winner this week in the Pure Advantage Expedition to Antarctica competition.

Rob Swan will interview and select one person from ten finalists to join his 2041 team  in Antarctica next year. In mid-February the lucky winner will fly from New Zealand to Ushuaia, Argentina. From Ushuaia, they'll board Rob Swan's Sea Spirit for the journey Antarctica.

Pure Advantage's Expedition to Antarctica will see one lucky young person spend two weeks with Rob Swan's 2041 team of experts exploring the Antarctic Peninsula. Rob Swan set up 2041 as a way of highlighting that once the Antarctic treaty expires that year there will be nothing to stop exploitation of one of the last unspoilt wilderness areas left on earth as well as inspiring the next generation of leaders to take action.

Rob Swan is also taking part in Moving Planet on 24 September (a day to move the planet beyond fossil fuels) and will give an inspiring talk in Albert Park to inspire people move New Zealand away from fossil fuels.
