KL next on list for Emirates A380

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, continues to expand its list of Airbus A380 destinations, with Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, set to welcome the superjumbo on December 1.

Emirates' partnership with Malaysia began in October 1996 and today the airline operates three times a day between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.

In what will be the first scheduled A380 service to Malaysia by any airline, Emirates' flagship aircraft will operate flight EK346 departing Dubai daily at 4.05am and arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 2.55pm local time on the same day. The return leg, EK347, will depart Kuala Lumpur at 7.30pm, arriving in Dubai at 10.30pm local time.

Emirates, which has been operating the A380 to and from Auckland since February 2009, now has 15 of the superjumbos in its fleet.

Emirates' A380 is renowned for the range of innovations it offers to make the journey more comfortable and enjoyable for passengers travelling in all classes.

First class passengers can relax in one of 14 flat-bed, massage-equipped private suites; the cabin also has two exquisitely designed onboard shower spas, ensuring a revitalised and refreshed arrival.

For first and business class passengers the on-board lounge is the social highlight, featuring a fully-stocked bar and a selection of hot and cold canaps.

Business class passengers can relax in seats that convert to flat beds up to two metres (79 inches) long, while those travelling in economy class can stretch out in seats with a pitch of up to 33 inches.

Passengers in all classes can enjoy Emirates' award-winning ice (information, communication, entertainment) digital widescreen inflight entertainment system, which features over 1,200 channels.
