I've been busy moving from the North to the South Island and working two jobs as well as teaching adults at nightschools, so I'm really flat tack and had no time to think of what to have for tea myself, let alone for everybody else. Frightfully sorry, but next week I'll be back on track.

In the meantime I'd like to share a tip: Since I moved to Christchurch I'm on the lookout for inexpensive, yet yummie food outlets and I've found Arjee Bhajee - such a nice name! It's also a nice place, very stylish inside and the food is delectable Indian with a modern twist. They have Kashmiri dishes, Nepali lentils, a wicked goat curry and the loveliest bhajees, and so they should considering they've named the place after the little onion fritters. Their meals are affordable at between $10 and $14, the most expensive thing on the menu an entree platter for two for $18.50. The menu is not huge, which is actually a pleasure because I hate having to study a 10-page booklet before going into a flap about what to order. All in all there are 32 things on the menu - that's not too difficult even for me - plus a separate sheet for drinks (among many others they have a great range of beers). Go check it out at 300 Colombo Street in Christchurch. They have another outlet at 13c Riccarton Road.

Before you ask: No, I didn't get a free meal and I also don't have a share in the restaurant. I just happened to eat there and liked it a lot.
