Award winning Owner of Marlowe and Park Tavern takes out top spot in prestigious San Francisco Magazine Best Chef Awards 2012
For almost 30 years, San Francisco has honoured the chefs, sommeliers and restaurants taking the famous Bay Area to the next level..
This year the crown of restaurateur of the year went to Hawkes Bay girl Anna Weinberg.
After cutting her teeth on the local NZ scene in in the early 90's (Prego), Weinberg moved to New York in 1996 and opened Salt. In 2004 she re located to San Francisco and opened the now award winning Marlowe.
Late last year she added to the portfolio by opening Park Tavern. Within a matter of weeks Park Tavern was the place to be seen and eat at.
Restaurant Critic Michael Bauer hailed it as one of his top ten picks for 2011
As well as the constant stream of accolades from the food press in America, Weinberg was a finalist in the James Beard Foundation Awards for Best New Restaurant 2012 for Park Tavern.
