Ten year old Madison and the rest of her Glamorgan School netball team are counting the days until September, when they will have the rare opportunity to train withtwotop New Zealand netballers, thanks to a recent competition run by the Silver Ferns and Netball New Zealand's elite sponsors New World.

Sue Esterhuizen, Madison's mum and regular New World Browns Bay shopper, was surprised to discover she had one of the winning receipts, "The girls are absolutely ecstatic. Unfortunately they couldn't get a proper coach when the team was selected, so they don't get as much training as they need".

This will be a great way for them to polish their skills with some of the best players in the country.

"Madison and the girls really look up to the Silver Ferns, and this will definitely help motivate them to move forward with the sport. I really enjoy shopping at the Browns Bay store, and I'm so grateful to New World for giving the girls this opportunity - they can't wait for September to arrive!" Sue continued.

New World Browns Bay owner-operator Eric Rush said, "We take pride in New World's involvement with netball, and we are thrilled that we have a winner who shops here at our store.

It's really important to inspire our kids in our national sports from a young age, and netball is a great sport for people of all ages to get involved with.

The team at New World Browns Bay would like to congratulate Madison, Sue and Glamorgan School on winning the competition. It's a great prize with some of the country's leading sports stars."

The 'Win a training session with the Silver Ferns' competition ran from May 30 to June 12 2011. Entries were made by registering New World till receipts totalling $25 or more on .

There were three two hour training sessions to be won, with each winner able to nominate a group of players to participate.

Each session will be run by two Silver Ferns and a coach provided by Netball NZ.

The sessions will take place in the winning teams' courts at a local school or netball centre in September 2011.
