A dog that recently died after visiting Coromandel's Tapu Beach has tested positive for Tetrodotoxin (TTX) - the same toxin found in dogs and sea slugs recently on Auckland beaches.

It's good to see the Taupo District Council listening to the people they represent - not only the hunters but local Maori and all those concerned about the indiscriminate blanket poisoning of our lands. And time now for other local bodies to do the same.
