I’ve only seen 3 of the 5, which makes this a very easy choice for me!

Who I Want To Win – ‘Midnight In Paris’. Best film of 2011 deserves a best screenplay award!

I love Star Wars! Also despite what some of the hard core fans say, I still love the prequels despite their massive amount of flaws! So when I got my invite for the press screening for the 3D re-release of ‘The Phantom Menace’ I was quick to say yes!

I missed many great films at the 2011 NZIFF, and this was one of them. Having a major interest in both alternative media and writing in general, this was one film I thought could be both important and eye opening.

I’ve seen 4 out of 5 which isn’t too bad!

Who I Want To Win – ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’. Complicated film that has every twist and turn nicely wrapped up which leaves you with a very satisfied feeling. Great script!

Best Song, Who I Want To Win – Bret McKenzie for ‘The Muppets’ of course! Who I Think Will Win – Brett McKenzie! 

Sitting down to watch 'Young Adult', I had mixed feelings, as I'd been hearing lots of negative things about it. It was from the chick who wrote 'Juno' and the dude who directed 'Up In The Air', so that was at least worth something.

Best Cinematography, Who I Want To Win – ‘The Tree Of Life’. Who I Think Will Win – ‘The Artist’.

Found footage films are a dime a dozen these days, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some great ones being put out. So when I saw the trailer for this film I was excited as it looked interesting for a genre such as this to be told in the found footage way.

Being a bit of a geek when it comes to secrete societies, and closed door organisations like the FBI and CIA, makes films based around these things a little more cool in my eyes.
