General Film Corporation announced today that production is underway in New Zealand for BEYOND THE EDGE a 3D feature film about Sir Edmund Hillary’s monumental and historical ascent of Mt. Everest in 1953 - an event that stunned the world and defined a nation.

'Paranormal Activity 4' was...well, it was...hmm...ohh, I know...'Paranormal Activity 4' was the 4th instalment in a horror franchise. Yip, that sums it up perfectly!

'Taken 2' was exactly what I thought it was going to be, and that was something that would pale in comparison to the original, and I was right. It had so much to live up to, and I was just going to be happy if it was at least a decent film in its own right, which I’m glad to say it was.

'Searching For Sugar Man' was such a heart warming and tear inducing film, and proves to me once again that not only are docos awesome, but that creating art is the greatest thing a human can do, be it in any form or any way.

New Zealand film TWO LITTLE BOYS has opened to number one place at the New Zealand box office, ahead of block-buster franchise Madagascar 3.

Kiwi horror comedy, Fresh Meat, will have its world premiere at the 32nd Hawaii International Film Festival on October 15th. The film will release theatrically in New Zealand on October 25th.

Robert Sarkies has a big reputation in the New Zealand film industry, but interestingly enough, he’s only made 3 features in 13 years, which says a lot about how hard it is to make films here, as renowned overseas directors tend to put out features every 2-3 years.
