Residents of Lynfield in Auckland should be on the lookout for a 'Six Million Dollar' man or woman this weekend as someone in the area has won a fantastic multi-million dollar prize in this evening's Lotto draw, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

This week's winning ticket was sold at Countdown Lynfield in Auckland, and is worth a total of $6.5 million with $6 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.

"We are delighted to be able to give away another multi-million dollar prize just four weeks after a lucky Manukau player won $5.5 million," says Mr McLeay.

In addition, one other Lotto player from Waimate, won a $500,000 share of Lotto's First Division. The winning ticket was sold at Waimate New World in Waimate.

Lotto Strike was also struck, by a player who bought their ticket at Manuroa Superette in Takinini. The ticket is worth $147,369.

Alex Luhn from the Kapiti Coast was tonight's other big winner after spinning up $200,000 on Lotto's Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was won by a MyLotto player in Wanganui. The serial number is 544-18805760-20XX.

"Anyone who bought a ticket at any of our winning retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible," Mr McLeay says.
