$1 Million Christmas For Lotto Player In Gisborne

Christmas is just around the corner and for a Lotto player in Gisborne this year will be a bumper one to remember after winning $1 million on tonight's Lotto draw, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

Their winning ticket was sold at Lytton West Post and Lotto in Gisborne.

"There's still time to get some last minute presents before Christmas Day and this Lotto winner will be able to fulfil their Christmas wish list this year, says Mr McLeay.

Lotto Powerball has jackpotted this week, and will be worth an estimated $6 million in next Saturday's draw.

Lotto Strike was struck by three players, who will each get a $102,837 share of First Division. The tickets were sold at Mount Paper Power in Mount Maunganui, Te Kauwhata Foodmarket in Te Kauwhata and BP Taita in Lower Hutt.

Meanwhile, Eric Brown from Bluff was tonight's other big winner after spinning up a $100,000 Shopping Spree on Lotto's Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was won by a player in Christchurch who bought their ticket online at www.mylotto.co.nz. The serial number is 545-22518318-20XX.

"Anyone who bought a ticket at any of these winning retailers should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible."
