$410,001 Prize Won On Woman's Second-Ever Bullseye Ticket

Bullseye's 'Must Be Won' prize of $410,001 has been claimed today by a stunned woman who won the massive prize on her second-ever $2 Bullseye ticket, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

"The 'Must Be Won' draw was triggered on 17 February due to Bullseye's jackpotting cash prize reaching the threshold of $400,000. No one won First Division so the jackpot prize went to the next highest division with winners - fortunately the lucky woman was the sole winner of Second Division meaning she scooped the entire 'Must Be Won' prize.

"This is the first time Bullseye has reached a 'Must Be Won' threshold and this is the largest prize won by a Bullseye player since the game launched in October 2009," says Mr McLeay.

The lucky winner, a widow, is still coming to terms with the shock win and does not wish to be identified. She purchased her winning ticket at Pak 'N' Save Kaitaia.

The winner told NZ Lotteries she does not usually buy Bullseye tickets but the retailer told her about the big 'Must Be Won' draw and so she decided to spend $2 on a ticket.

"I didn't know much about Bullseye but the Lotto lady was really talking it up. She told me the prize was going up and up and that it had reached the maximum and that I should get in with a chance - I have to thank her," the winner said.

The winner is undecided about how to spend the money, but says she wants to get the bills out of the way and then wait a couple of months before making any further decisions.

Bullseye is NZ Lotteries' newest game, where just $2 gives players the chance to win $100,000 plus daily.
