A Powerball player has ‘the luck of Irish’ this St Patrick’s Day after scooping $12.5 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The total prize of $12.5 million is made up of $12 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.

The winning ticket was sold at Kuripuni Lotto and Post Shop in Masterton.

This follows on from a $7.3 million Powerball win last month by a player from Te Kuiti.

A lucky player from Christchurch will also be celebrating after winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw. The winning Lotto ticket was sold at West Melton Four Square in Christchurch.

Meanwhile, Strike Four was won by a player in Christchurch, who takes home $100,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Hornby Mall Lotto in Christchurch.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.
