Dunedin Police have arrested a 32-year-old male for the burglary of Mornington Pharmacy which occurred sometime over the weekend of 2-3 June 2018.

A large amount of prescription medicines were stolen from the pharmacy.

The man will appear in Dunedin District Court on Friday 15 June 2018.

Several search warrants were executed earlier this week in Dunedin resulting in a large amount of the stolen drugs being recovered.

Detective Sergeant Dave Nelson said enquiries are ongoing to establish if further charges are likely or if anyone else assisted with the burglary in any way.
