$5 million Powerball win for player from Canterbury

It will be a night to remember for a lucky Powerball player from Canterbury who won $5 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto. The total prize is made up of $4 million from Powerball First Division and $1 million from Lotto First Division.

This is the third time this month that Powerball First Division has been won by a MyLotto player and the second time in a row that Powerball has been struck.

Tonight’s win follows on from Saturday when a MyLotto player from Auckland won $6.3 million, just one week after a young man from Central Otago scooped $22.3 million with a ticket bought through the Lotto NZ App.

Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over tonight and will be $400,000 this Saturday.
