An Auckland Lotto player will be floating on cloud nine after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Countdown Takanini in Auckland.

Powerball was not struck this evening and has rolled over to Saturday night, where the jackpot will be $8 million.

Meanwhile, Strike Four also rolled over tonight and will be $400,000 on Saturday.

With school holidays now in full swing, families will be making the most of the many Lotto-funded wildlife attractions around the country like Orana Wildlife Park in Christchurch and the Wellington Zoo. Thanks Lotto players for making these amazing attractions possible.

Anyone who bought their ticket from Countdown Takanini should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at or through the Lotto NZ App.
