Powerball’s winning streak continues with a lucky player from Auckland taking home $8 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The $8 million prize is made up of $7 million from Powerball First Division and $1 million from Lotto First Division.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

This is the second time in as many weeks that Powerball has been struck, with a lucky Palmerston North man taking home $10.2 million at the end of January. The man celebrated his multi-million dollar win with a French toast breakfast.

In tonight’s Strike Must Be Won Draw, the $700,000 jackpot was shared by 119 players who each take home $6,517.

The winning stores and locations will be available on MyLotto on Monday morning.

Anyone who bought a ticket for tonight’s draw should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
