A lucky Powerball player from Auckland will be celebrating tonight after winning $16.2 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The $16.2 million prize is made up of $16 million from Powerball First Division and $250,000 from Lotto First Division.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

This is the sixth time so far this year that Powerball has been struck, following on from an $11 million Powerball win by a Hawkes Bay player in March.

Three other Lotto players from Auckland, Napier and Porirua will also be celebrating tonight after winning $250,000 with Lotto First Division. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at United Video Blockhouse Bay in Auckland, Tamatea Pak N Save in Napier and on MyLotto to a player from Porirua.

Meanwhile, Strike Four was also won tonight by a player from Whangarei, who took home $500,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Pak N Save Whangarei.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of their ticket and check it immediately in-store at any Lotto shop, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
