A lucky Powerball player from Auckland will be popping the champagne after winning $5.3 million with Powerball First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The $5.3 million prize is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

This is the second time in a week that Powerball has been struck after an Auckland MyLotto player scooped themselves $16.2 million with Powerball last Wednesday. The lucky winner plans to use their winnings to help out family and friends and also travel to the Rugby World Cup.

Two other Lotto players from Christchurch and Invercargill will also be celebrating tonight after winning $333,333 with Lotto First Division. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at St Martins New World Supermark in Christchurch and Windsor New World in Invercargill.

Meanwhile, Strike Four was also won tonight by a player from Hamilton, who took home $100,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Countdown Claudelands in Hamilton.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of their ticket and check it immediately in-store at any Lotto shop, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
