Powerball is on a roll with a lucky Powerball player from Taipa becoming the third person in just two weeks to win big with Powerball First Division.

The $5.5 million prize is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division in tonight’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Taipa Foodmarket.

This is the third time in less than two weeks that Powerball has been struck, with an Auckland player taking home $5.3 million with Powerball last Wednesday and another Auckland player winning $16.2 million on Wednesday 17 April.

Another Lotto player from Taupo will also be celebrating tonight after winning $500,000 with Lotto First Division. The winning Lotto ticket was sold at Paper Plus Taupo.

Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over tonight and will be $300,000 on Saturday.

Lotto New Zealand’s Mother’s Day promotion is now underway. All Lotto Triple Dip tickets bought between Sunday 28 April and 7.30pm on Saturday 11 May are in the draw to win 100 extra prizes, including 5x BMW X1 cars and 95x prizes of $5,000 cash.

Anyone who bought their ticket from either of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of their ticket and check it immediately in-store at any Lotto shop, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
