Yesterday (8 October) saw the most votes returned in one day across the last four local government elections in Hamilton. 5775 votes were returned yesterday, representing 5.62% of the 102,714 electors.

Across the last four elections (2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019), the previous most votes returned in one day was on 8 October 2013 when 4.8% of the then 97,258 electors cast around 4670 votes.

A total of 31,775 Hamiltonians (30.94%) have now voted, compared with (at the same stage) 24.03% in 2016, 24.9% in 2013 and 26.7% in 2010.
