Aggravated Robbery, Clendon

Counties Manukau Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that took place this morning outside a Westpac ATM in Clendon.

At around 11.30am security guards were attending to the ATM when they were approached by three male offenders, two of whom were armed with rifle-type firearms.

Counties Manukau Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Malcolm said, "The offenders stole an amount of money and left in a stolen silver Honda Prelude. This vehicle was located in Glennis Place, Clendon Park".

"They then left the area in a white people mover with two other occupants".

"The three offenders are described as Maori or Polynesian, wearing dark coloured, possibly blue coloured, face coverings".

"The driver of the white people mover is described as: Caucasian, 19-20 years, short blonde/dyed hair, long nose, wearing a dark t-shirt. Descriptions of the other two occupants of this vehicle are unknown", he said.

Police would like to talk to anyone who has any information in relation to the incident.

Anyone who sighted the vehicles or witnessed the occupants of the vehicles at around the time of the incident is urged to contact Counties Manukau Police Crime Squad on (09) 261 1300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
