It was an interesting day for the Westpac Air Ambulance.

Called in the afternoon to a cave complex at Waikaretu west of Huntly.

A 10-year-old Auckland girl caving with a group took a fall and injured her spine.

A cave rescue team extracted her to the surface and the air ambulance flew her to Auckland hospital ED where her folks where waiting.

This evening it was to Tauranga to transport a 13 year old girl who was involved with a jet ski collision with another jet ski accident.

She sustained injuries to her arm and is now in Waikato ED.
