Award-Winning Kiwi Chef Reinvigorates Iconic Auckland Restaurant

Top kiwi chef Peter Thornley and his hand-picked team are relaunching iconic Auckland seafood restaurant Kermadec with a brand new $1M kitchen improvement resulting in the most state of the art facility in New Zealand.

The new kitchen allows the chefs to experiment with innovative cooking techniques not seen before in New Zealand, including working with liquid nitrogen to create the most unique dessert in the country, the Nitro Raspberry Balloon.

Owner Peter Simunovich is thrilled to welcome Peter to the venue: "He is a wizard and we are proud to have him here bringing his special touch to our venue. We look forward to seeing what he comes up with next!"

A premium seafood and seaside dining experience, Kermadec is located in the heart of the Auckland Viaduct with magical harbour views and can cater to any occasion.

The restaurant offers stunning culinary creations in a relaxed, beautiful setting - as Thornley puts it, "The tablecloths are starched but the staff aren't!"

Several dining venues are on offer including the restaurant, brasserie and bar, private dining rooms, Tasting Room (tapas), and premium Roof Garden for private hire, designed by Noel Lane and inspired by Thornley's love of gardening.
