Bullseye First Division jackpotted last night, meaning this evening's draw will be an unprecedented 'Must Be Won' draw - with one or more people getting a share of the $400,000 prize pool no matter what, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive Todd McLeay.
"The 'Must Be Won' draws are always exciting events - the last one we had was the $36 million Big Wednesday draw that made the whole country stand up and take notice. This isn't quite in the same league, but there will be a guaranteed win for at least one Kiwi tonight," says Mr McLeay.
The 'Must Be Won' draw was triggered due to Bullseye's jackpotting First Division cash prize reaching the threshold of $400,000, as set out in NZ Lotteries' game rules."
A 'Must Be Won' draw means that Bullseye First Division must be won by one or more lucky players. If no-one wins First Division, then the First Division prize pool is added to that of the next highest prize division where there are winners. If there is more than one Second Division winner, they will share the prizes equally. If there are no Second Division winners then Bullseye Third Division winners will share the prize, and so on.
Since Bullseye was launched in October, this is the first time it has reached this level of prize offering.
Bullseye is drawn daily at 6pm, with results available online from 7pm at www.mylotto.co.nz or from retailers nationwide.
