St John is calling on Christchurch to forget the mid-winter blues and join it for a fantastic fashion show this July!!

The St John Fashionistas Charity Luncheon is on Thursday, 30 July, 12.30pm-2.30pm, at the First Edition Bar, Crowne Plaza. The fabulous event will raise money for the new St John Regional Headquarters in Christchurch.

As well as a two-course luncheon, attendees will receive a wonderful goodie bag which includes gifts collectively worth more than $150. There is also a fashion show featuring fabulous contemporary designs from Christchurch stores and designers, including Max, Deval, Lavish, and Robyn Cliffe.

MC for the luncheon is Sue White from The Breeze and CTV, and there will be spot prizes and a chance for people to network and mingle.

Hair styling and make up for the fashion show has been kindly donated by Rodney Wayne and Body Business Beauty Therapy.

Julie Evans of Rodney Wayne says they were delighted to take part in the inaugural St John Fashionistas Charity Luncheon.

"This is a marvelous event, and a great cause to support," says Julie. "Rodney Wayne is pleased to be supporting St John in this way."

St John is an important part of the community, she says, "so we're excited to be a part of this event, joining with these Christchurch designers and stores to showcase some great fashion, some stylish hair designs - and all for a good cause!"

St John Fundraising and Promotions Manager Regan De Burgh says the St John Fashionistas Charity Luncheon is an exciting new fundraising event for St John.

"The support we have received from our sponsors is fantastic. They've been very generous."

St John is a charity, says Regan. "We rely on the generosity of people and companies to enable us to raise sufficient funds to help fund our ambulance operations, and provide all our community support services."

Regan says tickets for the St John Fashionistas Charity Luncheon are $75. "We are also doing a special deal, with people able to book a table of 10 for $500.

"We're looking forward to the day, and hope to see everyone there for some fabulous fashion over lunch!"
