Free Counselling and support offered to unsuspecting "Win A Divorce" Radio Station victim

A private practice Counselling & Family Mediation organisation has offered free Counselling and support for the unsuspecting divorce victim of "The Rock" radio stations "Win a Divorce" competition.

Steve Taylor, the Director of 24-7 Ltd, says that he is "simply appalled" by "the callous, unfeeling, and cruel" promotion of the Mediaworks-owned station, and felt prompted to offer assistance when it became clear that station management were going to "cheerfully engage in both promoting and colluding with what is most likely to be a very painful family split, and then pretty much leave the victims to fend for themselves".

"If I was an advertiser with Mediaworks, and I was in a committed relationship, I would be having a very, very close look at the motivation of the organisation in championing such a promotion.

I would then consider how this motivation aligned with my brand values, and then assess as to whether such an organisation as Mediaworks were consistent with these values in terms of supporting this promotion.

If this promotion goes ahead, I suspect a number of Mediaworks advertisers may subsequently conclude that their brand is wholly unsafe in such an uncaring, thoughtless, and potentially harmful corporate mindset, and I would then encourage these organisations to take their media spend elsewhere" says Mr Taylor.
