The funeral of John Xavier Andrew Hapeta is being held today in a northern location.

Detective Inspector John Tims says "there are still 30 plus Police Officers working on this investigation. Two search warrants were issued last week and two different addresses were searched. A number of items were seized and a case conference with ESR will take place. We are making positive progress everyday and are confident of an arrest ".

The Mobile Police Station has received a great response by the local community. This weekend there were 20 positive interactions with Police from locals relaying helpful information regarding the homicide.
