People across they country can donate to the New Zealand Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal at any PostShop.
More than 300 PostShop stores are accepting donations into a special New Zealand Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal Kiwibank account set up in response to the quake. New Zealand Post Group Chief Executive Brian Roche said the money would go directly to supporting the New Zealand Red Cross emergency relief operation.
"Kiwis can do their bit by utlising our national network of PostShops to make a donation and help the affected people of Canterbury deal with the tough times they're enduring.
"New Zealand Post is pleased to be able to offer support to the New Zealand Red Cross which has the expertise and experience to help the most vulnerable affected people," Mr Roche said. All money raised will go to the New Zealand Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal. The Kiwibank account number is 38-9009-0759479-00 and the name is "RED CROSS".

I'd be interested to know
I'd be interested to know why Red Cross doesn't want Mr Vintage to print t-shirts and donate $5 per shirt to you?
$5 from a $20 item seemed reasonable to me - and I wanted four for family members down in Christchurch.
The shirts were not offensive that I could see.
They are no longer available.
Thanks
Trish Allan.

Hi to the person donating
Hi to the person donating from america, I have read on website that if you are donating from another country you need to do it through your countries website. eg australia: redcross.org.au. Is there an american red cross that is donating? this is from their website:
would you like to donate from overseas?
Our sister national societies in Australia and the UK have set up appeals to help raise much needed funds to support the work of New Zealand Red Cross as we respond to the earthquake in Christchurch.
•in Australia go to: www.redcross.org.au or click hereto make a donation
•in the United Kingdom go to: www.redcross.org.uk or click here to make a donation
or you could possibly deposit into the account stated on their website:
Donations to this appeal can be made to:
•Online at www.redcross.org.nz/donate
•By cheque to: New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal, Freepost 232690, PO Box 12140, Thorndon, Wellington 6144
•By Direct Credit Transfer to our Special Appeal Bank Account: Kiwibank 38-9009-0759479-00 and the account name is RED CROSS.
•By Direct Credit Transfer to our Special Appeals Bank Account: ASB 12-3192-0015998-02
•At any branch of PostShop Kiwibank, ASB and ANZ bank
Hope this helps. Thanks for thinking of New Zealand!
