Wellington, March 14 NZPA - Fire crews were on standby at Auckland Airport last night after an Air New Zealand plane flying from Sydney to Wellington was diverted with possible landing gear defects.
The Fire Service was told the Airbus 320 had issues with its hydraulics.
Several firetrucks and an airport appliance were on standby next to the runway, but the plane landed safely about 11pm.
