Wellington, Sept 17 NZPA - Former Immigration Service boss Mary Anne Thompson has been committed for trial on fraud charges.
Thompson is accused of three charges of using a document for pecuniary advantage after applying for New Zealand public service jobs in 1989, 1998 and 2004, claiming she held a PhD from the London School of Economics.
At a depositions hearing in Wellington District Court today, counsel for Thompson, Robert Lithgow QC, conceded there was a case to answer.
Thompson, who entered not guilty pleas to all charges, was remanded to reappear on December 1.
