Direct debit is Tararua Council’s preferred method for payment of rates. With direct debits, payments can be spread - weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly - according to your payment preference.

Your rates payments are made on time, even when you are away so there are no penalty charges.

Writing out cheques, posting payments or queuing at our service centres will be a thing of the past. Direct debit makes payment simpler, faster and, above all, hassle free.

Contact our Service Centres for a Direct Debit application form and our rates officers to determine the correct amount for the Direct Debit payments required to cover the total rates due.
