Glassons' store doors will be flying open today to reveal the ever fashionable and always anticipated annual Breast Cancer Research Trust T-shirt collection.

Today is the official unveiling of the six new and unique t-shirt designs from the nation's favourite red-ribbon designers - Karen Walker, Trelise Cooper, Zambesi, Cyble, Stolen Girlfriends Club and campaign new-comer Lonely Hearts.

This year's striking new campaign theme -BECOME A SUPERHERO- supports the premise that if you buy a t-shirt you can be likened to a superhero, as money raised from t-shirt sales helps to save lives from breast cancer.

A superhero belt, a lightening strike and a heroic woman in a cape, are just some of this year's cutting edge designs which are available in a new-shaped Glassons t-shirt.

Fashion aficionados can purchase this year's t-shirts for just $29.99 with $10 from each sale going to the Breast Cancer Research Trust, thus giving New Zealand women the unique opportunity to add a designer piece to their wardrobe at an affordable price, whilst also supporting a very worthy cause.

Glassons can also divulge that it has moved with the fashion trends and this year will be unveiling a new shaped t-shirt. "Thinner, longer and a little bit baggier to keep up with the latest trends", says Glassons general manager Di Humphries.

"We are expecting a great response from this year's exceptional t-shirt designs", Ms Humphries adds "The t-shirts continue to have a strong following amongst customers, many of whom have become collectors over the years the campaign has been running."

"The next few years are more important than ever for people to get involved and buy a t-shirt, so we can help bring Breast Cancer Research Trust's goal to reality and make breast cancer a survivable disease within the next eight years."

"If there isn't a Glassons store in your area, then you can purchase with ease online at: ."

This is the eighth year Glassons has supported Breast Cancer Research Trust and, to date, has raised an impressive $3.5 million for the Trust. Funds raised are allocated to only the most outstanding and visionary research and researchers in New Zealand to ensure the Trust achieves its goal of finding a cure by 2018.

New Zealand has one of the world's highest rates of incidence and death from breast cancer, with one in eight New Zealand women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and 660 (that's nearly two per day) losing their life to the disease every year.
