Auckland, Feb 9 NZPA - A jury has been chosen today for the trial of a 26-year-old man charged with murdering a teenager in south Auckland in 2006.

Jeffrey Key will stand trial in the High Court at Auckland accused of murdering Riki Mafi, 17, in Otara town centre in September 2006.

Mr Mafi died in hospital on September 5 after being bashed, allegedly with a metal baseball bat, three days earlier.

A jury of 10 women and two men was today selected for the trial, which is expected to last three weeks.

The trial proper is due to commence this afternoon.
