Auckland, Sept 14 NZPA - The Australian-based laboratory, which ran into trouble within days of taking over a multi-million dollar contract for three Auckland health boards, has replaced its chief executive.
Labtest chief executive Ulf Lindskog had been replaced by Paul Waterson, the chief operating officer of pathology for Healthscope which owns Labtests, the company said in a statement today.
The three health boards, Auckland, Waitemata and Counties-Manukau, replaced Diagnostic Medlab with Labtest in an agreement which became effective earlier this month.
Within days there were complaints about tests and communications and the health boards sent in their own team of senior executive troubleshooters to sort out the problems.
