Update to motor-vehicle crash near Shag Point Road, Palmerston.
At about 7.35pm 22 September 2012 Police attended a single vehicle, motorvehicle crash on State Highway 1 just south of Shag Point Road, Palmerston.
As a result of the crash the driver a 31 year old local woman from Palmerston died from her injuries today at Dunedin Hospital.
The Invercargill Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating the crash and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.
