Police in Marton, who are investigating a number of burglaries in the town, want to speak to a man who failed to appear in court this morning on an unrelated matter.
An address in Cuba Street, Marton has been subject to five burglaries during October and November with a variety of property stolen, including a Mitsubishi Lancer car.
Officers investigating these crimes want to speak to Patrick Norman Marsh, a 21-year-old man from Marton.
Marsh is currently on a charge of breaching his community work and a condition of his bail is to reside at a specified address in Marton. He has however disappeared from the town and numerous enquiries over recent weeks have not revealed his whereabouts.
This morning he also failed to meet his commitment to attend Wanganui District Court and a warrant has now been issued for his arrest.
As well as Marton, Marsh is known to have particular links with the Wanganui, Himatangi and Tangimoana areas.
