New Zealand short film "Tumanako Springs" has been invited to screen at Festival du Court Mtrage de Clermont-Ferrand, the prestigious short film festival in France, early next year. The film, described by makers Francis Glenday and Dave Slade as "New Zealand's first Vampire Western", was selected by festival organizers to screen as part of four film programmes about "Zombies, Vampires & Other Undead" between January 29th and February 6th 2010. "Tumanako Springs" was partly funded by the Screen Innovation Production Fund and stars Scott Wills, winner of Best Lead Actor in a Feature Film at the 2009 Qantas Film and TV Awards. Director Francis Glenday and Producer Dave Slade are aiming to attend the festival to "Fly the flag and get people interested in some of our bigger projects".
