Orcon Tops PC World Reader Poll

Orcon CEO Scott Bartlett says he is 'thrilled' that Orcon has been voted best ISP by PC World readers in the 2008 PC World ISP survey - the latest in a long line of silverware the company has collected.

"We always strive to provide the best service possible, and this is a real validation of this from a magazine with a readership that knows what it is talking about," says Bartlett.

"We have tasked ourselves with lifting the bar for ISP and Telco service in New Zealand, and will continue with this mission in 2009. High standards, high speed, innovation, a dedicated team and top-notch customer service are key."

In 2008 Orcon was named Telecommunications Carrier of the Year at the annual TUANZ awards. Orcon won TUANZ awards for Internet Service Provider of the Year in both 2006 and 2007. Last year it was named fastest broadband provider in New Zealand in a New Zealand Herald commissioned study by Epitiro.

"Our recipe for success is delivering a quality product, backed by outstanding service. The monitoring software that the NZ Herald used to conduct its tests showed that we have the fastest broadband network in the country, and we back this up with knowledgeable staff delivering phenomenal service - this is what awards like this recognise," says Bartlett.

Orcon has also been awarded for being the best ISP for Mac users (by Macguide in 2006) and continues to pride itself on offering outstanding service to all customers, regardless of their choice of operating system.
