All Black and Vodafone Wellington Lions halfback Piri Weepu has donated his pink leg cast to Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation to be auctioned in support of Breast Cancer patients.

The pink cast, signed by Piri, is the first he received while being treated at Wellington Hospital following his infamous injury sustained during an ITM Cup match again Taranaki in October 2010.

Piri fractured his right fibula and tibia and dislocated his ankle when he was tackled by Taranaki lock James Broadhurst on 16th October 2010.

Like all Vodafone Wellington Lions, Piri is a great supporter of Wellington Hospitals and Health Foundation and has visited Wellington Children's Hospital on several occasions. His second cast will be auctioned to benefit Wellington Children's Hospital in a few weeks.

Funds raised through this auction will be used to support patients with Breast Cancer.
