Wellington, March 20 NZPA - An earthquake of 4.3 on the Richter scale rippled across Fiordland, Southland Central and Otago tonight.
GNS Scienece said the tremor, at 9.22pm, was centred 40km northwest of Te Anau at a depth of 70km.
The quake was felt in Kingston and was likely to have been felt in Fiordland, Southland and parts of Central Otago, GNS Science added.
