Wellington, Oct 27 NZPA - A second man is due in court today charged in connection with the theft of valuable war medals from the Waiouru Army Museum in 2007.
The man, who has name suppression, will appear in Wanganui District Court for a depositions hearing which is set down for two weeks.
Another man, also with continued name suppression, pleaded guilty and was jailed on Thursday for 11 years for the theft and unrelated fraud and burglaries.
He will serve a non-parole period of seven years.
Nine Victoria Crosses were among 96 medals snatched from the museum in a daring raid in December 2007.
Museum director Colonel Raymond Seymour described the theft as "a crime that shocked the nation".
