Serious crash closes part of SH73

At 5.30 pm today, Police were advised of a serious crash between two vehicles on the West Coast Rd (SH 73) near Jowers Rd, Christchurch. People have received serious injuries.

Emergency services are at now the scene and the West Coast Road (SH 73) has been closed.

Detours have been put in place at Dawsons Rd and Jowers Road on SH 73 and motorists can expect delays.

The Police request motorists to avoid this area if possible.
