St John is thrilled to be the Charity of Choice at this year's ASB Classical Sparks.
The family event, which is this Sunday 5 February in North Hagley Park (6.45pm-10.30pm), is part of the Christchurch City Council's Garden City Summer Times programme.
St John is the charity of choice at ASB Classical Sparks. The two organisations have had a community partnership since 2007.
St John is doing a special multi-media presentation before the event, profiling the work it does in the community and highlighting some St John people from the many different parts of the organisation, including Ambulance Services, St John Youth, Community Programmes, and Clinical Education.
St John will also have collectors at several locations at the venue. St John is a charity, and relies on the generosity of the community to help it maintain its services.
David Thomas, St John General Manager South Island, is thrilled that St John is taking part in ASB Classical Sparks. "It's an honour to be the charity of choice, especially at such a great family-focused event as this.
"ASB and St John have an important community partnership," he says, "and both organisations are committed to the community, especially here in Christchurch. We're looking forward to having a great night."
Mr Thomas says St John would like to thank the Christchurch City Council for their support and assistance with the multi media display.
