The Vice-Chancellor of Lincoln University has apologised for any offence caused by the actions of a few students during a Halls of Residence event, Oktoberfest.
Professor Roger Field has instigated an investigation and says the behaviour was inappropriate and clearly falls short of acceptable behaviour.
"Lincoln University is taking this issue very seriously. I will be taking appropriate action based on the University's regulations on discipline and formally apologise for any offence caused," says Professor Field.

I think the comment made by Ms Harte "Got to remember that most of these students are 18 or 19 and they don't necessarily know the symbolic nature of what they've done" is one poor excuse. as a member of the lincoln halls myself these students are capable uni students not primary school kids. they knew full well what they were doing and it is extremely dissapointing that lincoln management did not put a end to this as soon as it happened, rather they let these students create a poor image of the university
I totally agree if they
I totally agree if they don't understand the manager of the event should have and they should have been ejected straight away!
