At 8.15am this morning, a suspect courier package was delivered to the NZ Racing Board's National Office in Petone.

In the interests of employee safety the Police were contacted, who advised us to evacuate the building immediately, which we did.

Police and NZ Defence Force Bomb Squad personnel responded, established a cordon, and then examined the package. They located nothing of any concern and stood down.

Employees were allowed back into the building at about 10:15am.

At this stage we have no further information and it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.
