Wellington, July 31 NZPA - A 56-year-old woman has been committed for trial for murdering three year-old Porirua girl Cherishsiliala (Cherish) Tahuri-Wright.
The accused's identity and all evidence was suppressed when she appeared in Wanganui District Court yesterday.
She was remanded in custody until she appears in the High Court at Wanganui on September 16 for a review on suppression and the setting of a trial date.
Cherish died in Wellington Hospital on February 19, two days after she was found with severe head injuries.
