Christchurch, Jan 22 NZPA - Two or three days beginning May 31 have been set for the trial of Mark Stafford Feary, who faces 14 charges of threatening to kill or cause grievous bodily harm to the prime minister and public officials.
Feary, 53, an unemployed Oxford man, appeared at a pre-trial conference before Christchurch District Court Judge Michael Crosbie today when the trial details were settled.
He is charged with making the threats by letter and fax to the then prime minister Helen Clark, minister of police, ACT party leader, and other politicians.
He denies all charges and was remanded on bail.
